It all started with a delivery bed for vertical and natural postures. Anna, the daughter of Peter Keilbach, was born in an alternative birthplace. Besides, the idea was born to develop a delivery bed for delivery rooms that gives the birthing woman the possibility to take different postures in order to be able to experience the birth individually and emotionally. The round delivery bed was Peter Keilbach's diploma thesis as a product designer and became a great success. In the meantime, Anna is grown up and also studied design. She has been working in the company since 2016 and is significantly involved in new product developments.
The picture holder twister marked the foundation of the brand Keilbach. With an aluminium profile and rubber cords, pictures and postcards can be presented in a very simple way. The idea was patented and the design was very novel. MoMA in New York sold our picture holders in the museum shop and the fashion chain Zara used them worldwide in their shop windows for price labelling.
In the following year, the coat rack design icon naomi and the classic letterbox glasnost (the world's first letterbox with a glass front) were presented at Ambiente, the trade fair in Frankfurt.
That was the year 2000. The brand was born.
